The Watson's Protocol
as of 4th Feb, 2000

This protocol is roughly based on the mixtures used in many commercial GH releasers and other Anti-Aging supplements but at a much lower cost.

While the supplements I use are considered safe and very beneficial by the Anti-Aging industry, it would be wise not to over dose and if you are under the care of a medical professional, to seek their advise before starting any supplement program.

The body does not age quickly, so don't expect anti-aging to occur any quicker or miracle overnight changes.  After 4 years on the Anti-Aging trail, I speak from experience.

The use of Glutamine may increase Glutamate levels in the brain if you suffer from certain neurological diseases and excess Glutamate has been shown to promote loss of brain cells in certain circumstances and test tube based experiments.

The Life Extension Foundation (which has one of the best source of Anti-Aging Info I know of) has a very good paper on Glutamine supplementation detailing the many benefits and small risks involved which I would encourage you to read before starting ANY Anti-Aging program.

Every body is different and you may experience undesired side effects from any supplement.

While I have NO medical qualifications, I would be pleased to answer any of your questions on the use of this or any other supplement.  I do get many emails, and if you do not get a reply in a day or so, PLEASE resend (sometimes the net does eat emails).

You can join me and others Anti-Aging pioneers on the Anti-Aging Research email discussion group if you wish.

When:
I take my morning dose (Mon-Fri) as soon as I awake.  I then exercise for about 30 minutes, shower and eat a High Protein, Low Fat and Low GI Carb breakfast.  The Protein boost helps to keep amino acid levels high and stops the body using the protein stored in muscles as fuel.  Eating a lot of Carbs will kick the body out of Burn Fat mode and into Burn Glucose mode.  Fat isn't so critical, but why eat any but polyunsaturated as the body can make any of the others it needs.  Remember FAT and CARBS can blunt / reduce or ELIMINATE GH release.

I'm moving to a diet based on good low fat Proteins (Fish, Fowl, Lean Meat), lots of Veggies and Fruit as long as the fruit isn't too sweet.

The morning GH pulse switches the body into a burn fat mode.  If you don't feel hungry at noon, it's not wrong or bad.  Just a nice signal that most of the body is burning fat for fuel and your body isn't running on or out of Glucose.

I try to drink at least 6 glasses of water a day in addition to at least 2 cups of green tea.

At night I take a 3mg  Melatonin capsule to assist better sleep and enhanced natural night time GH release.  30-60 minutes earlier I have normally eaten a bit of cheese, some multi grain crackers & enjoyed a glass of good Australian red wine.

Both my wife & I use this protocol.

What about injectable GH?
I can see no negative reactions with the use of injectable GH and this protocol.  The Glutamine has many additional body wide benefits outside of its GH boosting effects.  The glutamine, creatine, chromium picolinate CoQ10 & alpha lipoic acid work together to increase muscle volume & reduce insulin resistance.

If I were using injectable GH, I would add this protocol and time my GH injection to occur in the "GHF ZONE" when I take the powder mix in the morning.

The Source:
I buy supplements I can't get in Australia from Beyond-A-Century.  I have NO interest in this company.

Implementation:
First 4 weeks:
1 dose in the morning every day for 4 weeks.

Then forever:
1 dose in the morning Monday thru Friday.

General:
If you have ANY medical problems, PLEASE, before you start, discuss this protocol with your doctor.

I haven't included any DHEA as here in Australia it is illegal & I have no direct experience.  If I could get DHEA I would add 50mg per day to my protocol.

I you decide to try this protocol, please don't over dose.  The quantities are lower than you may see elsewhere as this protocol is very synergistic and less is actually better.  If you experience any problems, STOP & email me.

Good Health & Long Life,
